Responsibilities:
The primary duties of a Junior Project Manager is to focus on seamless operation of Baggage Handling Systems. Their responsibilities can vary significantly not only from one position to another but also from day to day in the same role. On any given day, they may undertake a range of tasks, including:
- Maintenance and repairs: Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting malfunctions on equipment.
- Quality control: Ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations during installation and operation.
- Data collection and analysis: Monitoring system performance by collecting data, analyzing trends, and generating reports.
- Technical support: Providing on-site technical assistance to clients and other team members.
- Project management: Coordinating with project managers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintaining detailed records of work performed, including progress reports and incident logs.
- Client communication: Interacting with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical knowledge in relevant engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.)
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently in remote locations
- Eligible to work in the United States
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Valid driver’s license required (with clean driving record)
- Aviation Industry experience a plus
- High attention to being organized with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well working in various software applications (ProCore)
- Proficient in scheduling (P6 experience a plus)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation
- Must possess the versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities
- Must be able to report to work on a regular, consistent, and timely basis; must be prompt and maintain good attendance
- Must possess the ability to be a self-starter, work independently and as a member of various teams
- May be assigned other duties as required
